Israthoum

Israthoum was formed in 1992 in Portugal under the name of Grendel by Arvath, Arluth Dhu and Voxinferi, standing for primitive Satanic Grindcore. By this time, two demos were recorded, namely in 1992 (Decapitation) and in 1993 (untitled).

Some time after the bandname became Geryous. A couple of gigs were played (of which one pretty professionally recorded) and some asses kicked under this banner.

Somewhere between 1997 and 1998 there was a final change of the bandname to Israthoum, and which was shortly followed by a change of residence to the Netherlands (Arluth Dhu and Arvath) and Luxembourg (Voxinferi) respectively.

Agramon joined at the time, and in 2001 the demo Hatred was released.

This one was followed in 2002 by the MCD The Art of Malice. Both releases were self-financed and had a very poor production.

After this, Arluth Dhu relocated back to Portugal, Voxinferi moved to the Netherlands and by then Charagnanna went from bassist to guitarist and Voxinferi took over the bass.

Israthoum started recording what was supposed to become the first full-length album. After a real set back, it ended up consisting on a mini-album entitled Black Scenery Avatar, and was released in 2004 by S.A.R.S. Productions in a limited amount of 333 copies.

In 2005 Israthoum signed a contract with Merciless Records for the re-release of this mini-album (on both MLP as MCD). Until now, the MLP hasn't come out.

Kald joined on guitar somewhere in 2005 and moved to the Netherlands in 2008.

The full-length album Monument of Brimstone, is out. The mastering has been done by Necromorbus Studio and Finnvox. S.A.R.S. Productions released the first 70 copies on CD-R, Spikefarm takes care of the rest from now on.
