‘KOLD’ IS the third full studio album from this Icelandic quartet – the follow-up to their acclaimed 2005 outing, ‘Masterpiece Of Bitterness’.

The eight-song ‘Kold’ – featuring tracks such as ‘Pale Rider’ and ‘Love Is The Devil (And I Am In
Love)’ – sees the Reykjavik crew further exploring a style that has moved a long way from their
Black Metal roots; indeed, there’s an epic, often hypnotic feel to the music that draws them
inexorably to a place that’s very much of their own making.

Solstafir first came together as a trio back in 1994, but it wasn’t until 2002 that their debut album
saw the light of day; the aforementioned ‘Masterpiece…’ followed three years later, supported by
tremendous, often full-mark reviews in the underground media, and now there’s ‘Kold’ to
kontend with – ambitious, intense and fully equipped to stir up all of the senses.
