Turbowolf
Described as the kids of Death From Above 1979, ELO, The Stooges, Justice and White Zombie, Turbowolf are building an electronic noise temple above the crumbled pillars of rock music. Godzilla guitar riffs battle broken junk-store keyboards, while huge choruses smash into unhinged freak-outs. Constantly striving for new musical territory, the band are putting innovation, energy and fun back into rock’n’roll. Their flamboyant, wall-shaking live shows are rammed with a patchwork crowd of rockers, indie kids, electro nerds and ugly stinking weirdos.
Set for a June 15th 2009 release through Spinefarm Records UK, the ‘Read And Write’ 7” features two tracks of infectious rock’n’roll in all its debauched glory; Turbowolf manage to cram the best of punk, metal and “really fucked up electro” onto five minutes of wax. Limited to 500 copies and housed in an original full-colour, the sleeve was designed by guitarist Andy G, whose visual skills are currently being sought by all manner of high-profile outlets.
