SHADOWS FALL: NEW STUDIO ALBUM ‘RETRIBUTION’ SET FOR RELEASE ON SEPTEMBER 14th 2009

‘RETRIBUTION’ IS the fifth studio album from the Massachusetts outfit whose seamless blend of hard rock and heavy metal has led to the five building a genuinely international fanbase, picking up two Grammy Award nominations along the way.

Featuring 10 brand new songs, including lead track/video “Still I Rise”, the album was produced by Zeuss (Hatebreed, Municipal Waste), with Elvis Baskette (Incubus, Alter Bridge) coming on board to oversee the vocal side of things.

The follow-up to ‘Threads Of Life’ (2007), ‘Retribution’ sees the New England melodic thrashers pushing themselves harder than ever before in terms of both song-writing and performance. Says vocalist Brian Fair…

“With each album, we’ve got more and more confident in terms of letting all of our influences show, and this time around, we’ve taken the songs and pushed them just as far as we can – the brutal parts are a complete, non-stop assault, and the rock-influenced numbers don’t hold back either. Once the floodgates are open, we go for it!

Keen to take as much control over their career as possible, ‘Retribution’ – which will be available on both standard and special formats – is the first SF album to appear on the band’s own Everblack Industries label, with Spinefarm handling the release for the world ex-North America, where Ferret Music and the Independent Label Group are involved.
