FINNISH ATMOSPHERIC DOOM MAESTROS ANNOUNCE FIRST HEADLINE UK TOUR IN NOVEMBER/DECEMBER TO SUPPORT THE RELEASE OF FIFTH STUDIO ALBUM ‘NEW MOON’

SWALLOW THE SUN have confirmed details of their ‘New Moon Over Europe’ tour for November/ December 2009 – a tour that sees the Finnish Death / Doom sextet playing their first ever headline shows in the UK, supported by Insomnium and Omnium Gatherum.

Prior to these UK dates, STS will be issuing their fifth studio album via Spinefarm Records UK. Titled ‘New Moon’ and produced by Jens Borgen (Katatonia, Opeth, Paradise Lost, Amon Amarth), this eight-track release will – according to guitarist and main songwriter Juha Raivio – be the band’s “most progressive, sorrowful, beautiful and evil one we have done so far. This time around, you can never be sure where the songs are going to take you. The depths of hell and heaven are carved deep into these songs”.
