Backyard Babies: 20th Anniversary ‘Best Of’ Release and European tour

SWEDEN’S PREMIER rock’n’rollers Backyard Babies will issue a 12-track ‘Best Of’ collection entitled ‘Them XX’ on February 8th 2010.

This specially packaged release will feature tracks spanning the band’s 20-year/six studio album career – low-slung, fast-lane anthems such as ‘Brand New Hate’, ‘Minus Celsius’, ‘Electric Suzy’, ‘Highlights’ and 2009’s ‘Degenerated’ single.

This lavish Digipak also houses a 32-page booklet showcasing rare photographs of the four musicians. This is the first time that the band have put out a release of this nature.

WITH TWO decades of hard (international) rockin’ behind them, and NO line-up changes (!), Backyard Babies have not only developed into one of Sweden’s best loved and successful outfits, but have also stamped their mark on the greater rock‘n’roll world, with an impressive catalogue plus a fearsome live reputation.

An established live draw, Nicke, Dregen & Co. have now confirmed a series of one-off European dates, which will see them playing a special set of tried & tested hits mixed with more obscure B-side tracks. The UK date, BYBs only show over here this year, is as follows:-

Tuesday 9th Feb 2010 - London, Islington Academy

Tickets are priced £15 (subject to booking fee) and are available on 24 cc line 0870 264 3333 or via www.seetickets.com. Doors are 7.30pm. Support: Tracy Gang Pussy, New Device.
