Backyard Babies : New Single, In-Stores & Acoustic Session Confirmed For April

SWEDISH ROCKERS Backyard Babies release new single ‘Degenerated’ in support of their co-headline April tour of the UK with Finnish outfit, The Rasmus.

The single will be available – on April 13th – as both a digital download and a coloured vinyl 7”, strictly limited to a numbered 500 copies. The B-side of the 7” will be ‘Star War Jnr’ – a track written by BYBs’ lead guitarist Dregen and originally featured on an EP recorded by rock‘n’roll supergroup Supershit666 back in 1999 (SS666 also featured Wildhearts mainman Ginger plus Hellacopter-in-chief Nicke Andersson on drums).

With the show in Manchester on April 8th having sold out in a matter of days, both bands have now confirmed a signing session at the local FOPP store in Brown Street; BYBs & The Rasmus will be in the shop from 5.00pm onwards.

Prior to the London show on April 9th, the bands will be at the FOPP store in Earlham Street, Covent Garden, again from 5.00pm – although as well as signing records or torsos, they will also be playing short acoustic sets.

An opening act will be added to the bill shortly.

The video for ‘Degenerated’ has been funded in the main by Activision, the company behind ‘Guitar Hero’; it sees BYBs represented in animated form, with references to the hugely popular game throughout.
